What’s the difference between René’s massage workshops and other pain relief workshops?
What sets René teaching apart from all other pain relief methods is his expertise on precise details in targeting and treating the root of most chronic muscular pain: the brain and the way in which it senses and controls muscles and movement and responds to therapies.
René teaches you how to see the connection between mind and body. The workshops are packed with in sites of how the body responses to trauma and therapies, and how we can respond back to provide the proper treatment needed for a clients unique situation. In each workshop the following topics are covered:
Explanation and demonstration of Psychosomatic and how the body and mind responds to trauma, injures and most importantly bodywork as well.
Yin and Yang Hands
Somatic movement.
How to lengthen muscles with active and passive stretching and with other non stretching modalities that help the body to disengage, relax and lengthen.
Please contact him directly to also learn how to bring René to your studio, medical clinic, fitness studio, spa or event.
In 1993 I was asked by a few clients and patients if the style of massage I was doing was a mix of Thai Massage. At the time I did not know about Thai Massage and back then there was no Google to look it up. It took about a year until I came across a book on Thai massage and quickly saw why my clients though i was using Thai massage techniques.
In all my sessions I always include stretching, some of which I integrating from yoga classes. Seeing the books on Thai massage reassured I was on the right path of integrating modalities to beter treat patients needs.
In 1995 I began my studies in oriental modalities while attending the Acupuncture College & Massage School In Miami Florida where I majored in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In 2001 I was in a car accident. I was hit on from the driver side and suffered a shoulder injury and had Frozen Shoulder Syndrome. Although I continued to give massages with my hands, forearms, elbows, and knees, I began to develop my own style of barefoot massage. I started experimenting and improvising on friends and other therapist. In 2008 I went to Thailand for 6 weeks to study Thai massage and other native modalities. I returned again in 2010 for 10 months to teach and also continue learning and developing my technique.
In the Barefoot massage course and the advance courses you are taught techniques on how to use your feet as a tool for massage therapy. The use of your feet will allow you to work effortlessly, longer, stronger, and efficiently. In some cases you will even learn how to use all four limbs at the same time.
The course will cover the Integration of the different forms of massage.
They are divided into the 2 main applications of Barefoot Massage.
1: Client/Patient clothed and using no oil/lotion.·
